Computers, smartphones, tablets… These devices have changed the lives of millions of people over the past few years, modifying their day-to-day activities with transformations that will never stop. This implies an exciting invitation to be part of B.S. in Computer Science and Information Technologies to face these challenges by designing computer applications for a variety of fields, such as science, technology, engineering and business, as well as for personal and daily use.
B.S. in Civil Engineering graduates from Tec de Monterrey face diverse challenges, mainly recognizing what society needs for its development, in order to plan, design, build, operate and maintain the build environment, applying cutting-edge technology, adhering to standards and regulations, and with a deep sense of commitment to the environment. Through your work in our Civil Engineering Program, you will create better places to live, having a direct impact on the life of citizens.
We are constantly surrounded by chemical processes that we didn’t even know existed. At B.S. in Chemical Engineering, you will be part of the design, operation, and improvement of chemical processes to produce the materials used in manufacturing the majority of the products we use every day.
Biotechnology is one of the most transcendent and important scientific fields, since it focuses on the application of technology in processes that use biological systems to create innovative solutions in a wide range of sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, food, healthcare, agriculture, environment, energy, among others. As part of B.S. in Biotechnology, you will be able to create or modify biotechnological products, services and processes that address the needs of all these sectors, focusing constantly on human and environmental wellbeing.
Biomedical Engineering is growing in leaps and bounds and today more than ever needs professionals with a solid background in medical and biological sciences, capable of proposing technological solutions that address the needs of the healthcare area by developing innovative devices, systems and services. At B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, we prepare you to be part of that panel of professionals who will make a change in the world of medical sciences.
Overpopulation, climate change and natural resource degradation threaten the population’s food security, health, and wellbeing. As an Agricultural Biosystems Engineer, you will manage food production systems that use cutting-edge sustainability-oriented technologies. Your training in B.S. in Agricultural Biosystems Engineering will include the development of competencies for managing productive biosystems that capitalize on sustainable and process enhancement technologies to produce goods and services that comply with international quality and safety standards.
International Competitions Experience
Through international competitions, students tackle real-world challenges alongside multidisciplinary teams from across the globe. These experiences strengthen technical skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience under real pressure conditions.
By representing Mexico on international stages, students become ambassadors of the country’s talent, creativity, and problem-solving capacity. The solutions they develop go beyond competition, contributing ideas and technologies with real potential to improve communities, industries, and the future of the nation.
AIChE 2025
In March, Tec de Monterrey hosted the AIChE regional conference in Mexico for the first time. Its students stood out by winning two key competitions, showcasing their ability to apply chemical engineering and solve real-world challenges with creative, innovative solutions.
Eco Shell 2025
Students from Tec de Monterrey’s Mexico City campus earned the Carbon Footprint Reduction Award at the Shell Eco-marathon for proposing sustainable materials like mushroom-based bioplastics and cotton fibers, showcasing student-led solutions to reduce carbon emissions.
Formula Student UK
TM Racing, Tec de Monterrey’s Mexico City team, made history by becoming the first Mexican and Latin American team to win 1st place in the Concept Class Overall at Formula Student UK, showcasing innovation, engineering excellence, and global competitiveness.
Presence in
19 campus
Students work alongside leading companies, government and NGOs to solve real-world challenges through applied research, innovation and technology, gaining hands-on experience that strengthens their professional and social impact.
These projects connect knowledge with action. Guided by faculty and industry experts, students design, test and implement solutions aligned with global needs in areas such as sustainability, digital transformation, mobility, health and advanced manufacturing. Beyond technical skills, they develop leadership, ethical thinking and a deep understanding of how engineering and science
can accelerate positive change.
