Founder of CIDPRO, she specialises in the extraction and modification of functional proteins for food applications. Her notable contributions to international organisations have earned her prestigious awards, including the Rómulo Garza Award for Research and Sciences. She is recognised for her work on extracting plant proteins and deactivating anti-nutritional compounds in legumes.
